Account Deletion

You can ask us to delete your Baking Story account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what we remove, and what we are required to keep.
1. How to request deletion
Send us an email and we will process your request. The quickest way is to use the button below, which opens your email app with the details pre-filled:
Or email us directly at support@bakingstory.id with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. So we can verify it is really you, please:
- send the email from the address registered to your Baking Story account, and
- include the email address and/or phone number you use to sign in.
2. What happens next
Once we verify your request, we deactivate your account and begin deletion. We aim to complete this within 30 days. We will email you to confirm when it is done. After deletion you will no longer be able to sign in, and the email and phone number on the account become free to register again.
3. Data we delete
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data tied to it, including:
- your account profile (name, email, phone number);
- saved delivery addresses;
- your shopping cart and favourites;
- saved payment methods; and
- notification and device tokens used to reach your account.
4. Data we keep, and for how long
We retain a limited set of records after deletion where the law requires it or to protect against fraud and disputes:
- Order and transaction records are kept for up to 10 years to comply with Indonesian tax and accounting obligations. These records are disassociated from your profile and are not used to contact you.
- Payment details are handled by our payment provider (Midtrans) according to their own retention policies; we do not store full card or bank numbers.
Once the applicable retention period ends, these records are deleted or permanently anonymised.
